Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned) 

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. 

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. 

• Completing preventative, predictive, and corrective industrial maintenance throughout the facility while working in a fast-paced environment. 

• Removes defective dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. • Installing wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, and machinery. 

• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. 

• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. 

• Perform basic VFD diagnostics, adjust setting / parameters. 

• Troubleshoot PLC programs including using ladder logic, components and communications modules (Ethernet) 

• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. 

Key Competencies: 

• Working knowledge of production equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) 

• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment problems.

 Minimum Qualifications: 

• Experience with Electrical DC and AC up to 460 volts is required. 

• Working knowledge of electrical motor controls systems and components. 

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s. (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: Requires a 2-year technical degree on electrical motor controls or industrial automation. 

Experience: • Requires Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

(Computer skills, mathematical abilities, analytical or reasoning abilities, communication skills, other technical skills, etc.) 

• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. 

• Interprets and uses schematics, drawings and instruction manuals.

• Regularly required to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. 

• Gross manual dexterity (operate a motor vehicle) is also required. 

• Ability to reach with arms and hands; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl as well as the ability to see and hear. 

• Required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. 

• Able to work night shifts and on weekends when required. 

• Ability to move about in office, warehouse and manufacturing facilities.
