Duties and responsibilities: 

Main duties: Assist supervisor in various capacities to get workload caught up (cleaning and organizing)

Disassemble, organize, wash, inspect and prep parts.  Media blast automotive parts 

Mop, sweep, vacuum, empty trash, minor janitorial duties and other cleaning (including cleaning CNC and other machines)

Packaging parts using packaging machine (will be trained)

Counting/verifying large numbers of parts received from vendors

Build wooden crates using a saw and cordless drill

Pressure check and hardness test diesel heads.  Also inspect and thread check heads (will be trained)

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

Follow general safety regulations for self and the work environment

Light assembly work as needed 

Ability to drive the company pickup truck when needed (pickup and drop off parts, Home Depot, etc) (Not applicable to temporary employees)

Job knowledge, education, skills and abilities:

Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with little or no supervision

Required to read and write English and follow verbal and written instructions in English

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.  Must use a dolly, cart or the buddy system for heavy lifting – anything over 40 lbs.

Good verbal and written communication skills

High school graduate or equivalent

Good eyesight

Must be very detail oriented and organized

Must be able to work in a team environment

Must have a clean driving record

Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check prior to employment

Ability to use calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and bore gauges a plus

Ability to use a torque wrench up to 250 ft lbs a plus

Forklift skills a plus (Not applicable to temporary employees.)

Automotive background a plus

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility

8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
