Manufacturing Technician : Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
Sanmina PART lab is looking for a lab technician to work on our PCB and PCBA products. You will work on various tests to help our internal and external customers on process development, product quality, and failed products.
- Perform thermal TMA, DSC, and TGA analysis, elongation and tensile tests, and other tests per IPC test methods
- Assist engineers with PCB/PCBA sample preparation (cutting, cross sectioning, imaging, dye/pry etc.) for failure analysis, and requested board sectioning from customers. You must be a person who pays attention to details in a fast paced environment.
- Basic troubleshooting of board open/short , and thermal imaging
- Other lab assignments
Education and Experience
- Minimum 1 years of related experience in FA lab
- 2 year degree with Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, materials science background preferred. Willing to consider a combination of education and experience.
- Familiar with PCB and PCBA products
- Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be flexible and available for overtime
- Must have good attention to detail and good quality.
- Must have good verbal and communications skills.
- Ability to enter information in a computer system.
