The primary purpose of this role is to support the development of robust storage management solutions by maintaining lab hardware and configuring complex server and storage systems. This position bridges the gap between hardware and software by executing manual and automated test cases to ensure the resiliency of our cloud platforms.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting firmware and network failures, which is critical to maintaining the high standards of our enterprise-grade storage arrays. The successful candidate will work within a team dedicated to maintaining lab equipment and managing the lab hardware.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
? Setup and configure lab systems, including Servers, Switches, and storage enclosures
? Install and manage CNS software bundles and execute manual testcases on HW
? Development automation testcases using Python or other scripting language
? Execute testcase and collect logs, and generate comprehensive test reports
? Open and track issues discovered during testing, and integrate results with JIRA
? Troubleshoot complex failures related to firmware, hardware configuration, OS settings and network connectivity
Education and Experience:
Skills and knowledge: Essential
? 2-4 years of work related experience.
? Strong Linux Operating system experience including image install and debug
? Proficient in Python or shell scripting
? Familiar with server and storage HW components (BMC, BIOS, SES, NVMe and SAS Drives)
? Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, Firewalls)
? Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication skills to interact with the team
Skills and knowledge: Desirable
? Familiar with data storage technologies (S3 Object, Block Devices, NFS and SMB File Systems).
? Familiarity with developing software in a Linux environment
