Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team on the first shift. This role is vital in supporting the organization’s human capital management initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace environment. The Human Resources Generalist will oversee a broad range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and training & development. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, project management capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, or Kronos. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic planning and organizational design while supporting day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage talent acquisition processes from sourcing through onboarding using ATS platforms like iCIMS or Taleo.
- Facilitate employee orientation programs and ongoing training & development initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist with benefits enrollment and inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, OSHA regulations, and workers’ compensation procedures.
- Support performance management processes including employee evaluations and succession planning.
- Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and effective conflict management techniques.
- Maintain accurate HR data entry within HRIS systems such as SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle HCM.
- Assist in developing and implementing affirmative action plans and diversity initiatives.
- Oversee HR sourcing strategies utilizing social media management tools and other recruitment channels.
- Coordinate with payroll providers like Paychex or Paylocity to ensure accurate compensation processing.
- Support organizational change management efforts and assist in project management activities related to HR initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources management, human capital management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, and workers’ compensation policies.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft; experience with ATS systems like iCIMS or Taleo preferred.
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration, payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex), and workforce management tools like Kronos or Dayforce.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in data collection and project execution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment.
