SUMMARY
Ensures that appropriate amounts of materials are purchased to complete a project. Receive plans and information from other departments and use this information to determine the necessary materials that will be needed. Coordinate with buyers such that suppliers deliver the ordered materials accurately and on time. Oversees inventory management of materials. Have knowledge of the Aerospace industry and the nature of the materials used in the business. Modifies production schedule as required by process changes or other factors. Capable of working from blueprints or diagrams but technical knowledge not required. Position not responsible for establishing operational sequences or processes. Coordinate with expediters within a large and complex computerized inventory system requiring the application of computerized inventory control and associated accounting processes. This position may require travel to other Regent facilities or job sites both domestic and international.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains records and develops reports for the reconciliation of material inventories.
Ensures inventory system file security through limited access to main programs.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
The application and implementation of computer record keeping systems, and perpetual inventory systems.
Enter data or information into a computer system using a keyboard device.
Communicate orally with other production control staff and vendors in one-on-one settings or using a telephone.
Work cooperatively with other employees and the public.
Comprehend and make inferences from written material in the English language.
Produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper English sentence construction, punctuation, and grammar.
Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. General computer and office skills including Excel, Word a must. .
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
A degree in business, supply chain or engineering discipline OR equivalent experience.
APICS (CPIM) certification a plus
MINIMUM DIRECTLY RELATED JOB EXPERIENCE
Three to Five (3-5) years of experience.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
Knowledge of ISO 9000.
Knowledge of JIT.
Knowledge of project management techniques.
Knowledge of manufacturing of airline seats a plus
Knowledge of estimating methods.
Ability to manage business crisis or short timelines.
Ability to work under a great deal of uncertainty or unpredictability.
Ability to improve processes or procedures
Problem solving skills.
Able to read and comprehend documentation written in the English language.
Able to read component maintenance manuals (CMM’s).
